Hotpoint-Ariston ARSL 85 review
The Hotpoint-Ariston ARSL 85 washing machine attracts attention due to its more than affordable price. In addition, it is produced by one of the leading and most reliable brands. This model can be considered a classic example of a conventional washing machine - it can hold up to five kilograms of laundry and wring it out at speeds up to 800 rpm. The indicators are quite standard, but the depth of the machine is only 42 cm, so it will take up a minimum of space in the bathroom. The top cover is removed, therefore, the machine can be easily built into the furniture.
The manufacturer has endowed this model with eleven washing programs - this is more than enough for such an inexpensive device. There are useful special programs such as Economy Wash, Pre-Soak, Wash Delicates and Express Wash. If desired, the user will be able to adjust the washing temperature and reduce the spin speed. The control is carried out using buttons and rotary knobs, and the decoding of the programs was placed on the tray for washing powders. The design of the machine can be called ordinary, there are no special frills here.
Long-term operation of the machine did not reveal any particular shortcomings.A little disappointing is the high noise level during spinning, but this machine does not belong to the category of silent ones.In addition, if you have problems with the quality of washing, you should deal with your washing powder - it is quite possible that it does not fit certain fabrics. Vibrations are eliminated by more precise alignment of the machine in its regular place. The rest of the machine is just great - good functionality, good spin quality, a lot of adjustments. In addition, it has small dimensions, which is very important for owners of small-sized housing.

Special programs
- Antibacterial cycle (program 7) - A high temperature disinfection program that uses bleach at temperatures above 60°C. For bleaching, pour bleach, detergent and additives into the appropriate compartments.
- Night cycle (program 8) - It is a silent cycle that can be turned on at night, saving electricity. This program is designed for washing synthetic and cotton items. At the end of the wash, the machine stops with water in the drum; to drain and spin, press the START/PAUSE button, otherwise, after 8 hours, the machine will automatically drain and spin.
- Baby underwear (program 9) - The program removes typical soiling of children's clothing, guaranteeing the removal of detergent from the fabric in order to avoid allergies of sensitive children's skin. This cycle is designed to reduce the number of bacteria by using more water and optimizing the effect of special disinfectant detergent additives.
- Mix 30′ (program 5) — It is intended for fast washing of lightly soiled linen.The cycle lasts only 30 minutes, which saves time and energy. With this program (5, 30°C) you can wash laundry made of different fabrics (excluding wool and silk) together with a maximum load of 3 kg.
- Mix 15′ (program 6) — It is intended for fast washing of lightly soiled linen. The cycle lasts only 15 minutes, which saves time and energy. With this program (6, 30°C) you can wash mixed fabrics (excluding wool and silk) together with a maximum load of 1.5 kg.
