Each washing machine has already taken its niche in popularity among all other household appliances. Buying a machine is much easier than connecting it.
Connecting washing machines, no matter what type, is not as difficult as it seems. Many people prefer to do this on their own. And in this case, there are no guarantees. But the specialists, on the contrary, will do their work with high quality, and provide guarantees for connection for at least one year.
When connecting a washing machine, three components will be involved:
- sewer,
- water pipes,
- power supply network.
The washing machine consumes cold water. Therefore, it should be connected to a pipe with cold water supply. And according to the rules, you should embed a tee and run a separate pipe to the machine on which the crane will be installed. Well, then a hose is connected directly to fill the water. But this method is more labor intensive. It is easier and faster to install a tee on the cold water pipe that belongs to the sink. After that, the sink is connected in place. The tee must necessarily be equipped with a valve. And a hose (better if two-layer) will be connected to its outlet, providing a supply of cold water for washing. Of course, after each wash, it is advised to turn off the cold water to the washing machine with a valve.Such a precaution can protect against floods in the event of a breakdown of the valve built into the machine itself. It is worth noting the fact that for the correct operation of the washing machine, you should still install a water filter of at least coarse cleaning, which will trap all kinds of particles and rust.
Connecting washing machines to the sewer is not a difficult process. The easiest way to connect to the sewer is to lower the drain hose into the toilet or bath, securely fastening it. But this, as a rule, is a “method for a while”. It is better if the drain hose does not “irritate the eyes”. To do this, it is necessary to embed a branch on the sewer pipe, to which a hose will subsequently be connected to drain dirty water. Another important point, so that there is no terrible sewer smell, the drain hose is installed about 50 cm from the floor. Moreover, when connecting the washing machine to the sewer, the hose must be very strongly fixed in order to avoid disconnecting it when draining.
For the final connection of washing machines, a power supply is required. The socket should be installed in a convenient place and slightly higher than the machine itself. And it is necessary that the socket be protected from moisture by a special cover and have grounding.
If you install the washing machine correctly from the very beginning, then in the near future you will not have to correct all sorts of flaws in the entire system.
