When you need to transport something large and complex, it is usually difficult to handle on your own. For example, you bought a washing machine from your hands - but you won’t be able to transport it yourself, since it won’t fit in the trunk of a passenger car. Then you can rent a larger car, but even here there are difficulties: transporting a washing machine has its own rules. For example, if the loading position is incorrect, the body can be scratched or the hoses can be damaged. And if you transport the machine with a loose door, you can damage the cuff - the washing machine cannot be used. In order not to break a fresh purchase, you need to know the rules for transporting a washing machine.
First you need to prepare the washing machine for transportation. What needs to be done:
1. Disconnect the unit from the power supply.
2. Unscrew all hoses - drain and water supply hose, for convenience they can be twisted and attached to the body of the machine. If water remains in the hoses, carefully drain it into a bucket. What if there is water left in the tank too? Be sure to unscrew the plug, drain the water and dry the tank.
3. Fix the drum of the washing machine with the bolts at the back (they are just designed for transportation). If you did not find the bolts, then fix the drum with foam rubber or fabrics.
four. Most modern washing machines have a hatch, and in order not to damage the door, it should be tightly closed and secured with tape just in case. The same must be done with the detergent compartment.
5.Pack the machine in its original packaging, if available, and if not, use foam, bubble wrap, stretch film.
Loading the washing machine into the back of a truck is not easy - the machine weighs quite a lot, so use special carts. Install the machine in the truck vertically on a flat floor, just like it is at home. The floor or pallet on which you place the machine must be clean. If you are not sure that the machine is securely fastened, then additionally attach it to the body with straps for transportation.
After transporting the washing machine, do not put it on a wet or uneven floor; plug in if the cord or drain hose is damaged.
A washing machine is a complex, heavy and expensive unit, and it is better to entrust its transportation to professionals, for example, Attic. Transportation of the washing machine with the Attic will be reliable and fast - the movers will arrive, pack the car, load it into the machine and carefully deliver it to the destination.
Do not waste your time and energy looking for a truck yourself and transporting heavy household appliances if you can order a service from responsible professionals.
